Microsoft is launching a broad music promotion that can be viewed on MSN.com, Xbox Live and even on its portable music player, the Zune, reports Reuters/Billboard.
Called Ignition, the initiative will promote new acts "across its entire digital footprint." It will feature exclusive content that can't be seen anywhere else.
The first band featured will be Maximo Park, which will unveil a single available for download on the Zune Marketplace, a music video free to download for Xbox Live members, and will also appear by streaming video on MSN.
With all platforms combined, Ignition will appear to 30 million regular users.
