IGN Entertainment is introducing an in-game ad management product to online game publishers and offering them its own sales staff to support their efforts, ClickZ reports. Publishers have the option of selling ads in-house or outsourcing sales to IGN. AdJab termed it "a bit shady" to draw revenue from publishers while giving them editorial coverage on the media side. This move pits IGN directly against Massive, which earlier this year struck a deal with Nielsen to gather metrics in the gaming environment.
