A new service from Bryan Media may be available next year that will allow pocket PC and mobile phone users to watch their favorite local channels and cable television shows on their mobile devices, anywhere there is a wireless data signal available, reports MediaBuyerPlanner. IceTV, which stands for interactive communications and entertainment TV, will launch with a channel line-up that includes news, sports, weather and entertainment programming.

IceTV is completing its beta test with eight live TV channels and is in negotiations with broadcast and cable networks for inclusion in the launch line-up. The company says it expects to complete those agreements in the next 30-45 days and go to market with up to 16 channels in the first quarter of '06.
