IAB Unveils New Rich Media Standards

The Interactive Advertising Bureau finally updated its rich media standard size and technical requirements. After issuing standards in 2001, the IAB had said they would be updated in half a year's time. More than three years later, only the in-page units have been updated - the pop-up and pop-under guidelines proving to be issues too hot to gain consensus on. The new revisions have the endorsement of MSN, AOL and Yahoo, according to ClickZ, and are therefor likely to gain wide acceptance by default.
