Freedom to print at the
snap of a wrist
Hewlett-Packard has debuted a new service that enables mobile users to print documents from almost anywhere, reports The Boston Globe.
The Cloudprint service lets people upload documents onto a remote server run by HP. That document is assigned a code, which is then sent to the user's cell phone. Entering that code on the Cloudprint website enables users to access and print the document.
The program is an extension of a company effort to sell more HP ink and other printer supplies. It was developed after company executives sought to find a way to marry the brand to Apple's iPhone.
