How to: Set up a Foursquare brand page | Reconcile data from different analytical tools

How to Set Up a Foursquare Brand Page

Lisa Barone at Small Business Trends walks readers through this process. FourSquare started letting business owners create official brand pages in January but most SMB firms found they couldn’t participate because their following wasn’t large enough. When Foursquare switched to the self-serve system last week that changed, Barone writes.

To create a brand page on Foursquare, Barone says:

You first must have a Twitter account for your small business. Choose a good Twitter name as it will also be the Foursquare URL.

Then go to FourSquare’s Create Your Page screen to connect your FourSquare account with your Twitter account. Once you’re logged in, you can connect your business Facebook page, she says.

How to Reconcile Data from Different Analytical Tools

A reader switched from Urchin 6 to Google Analytics and found the number of monthly web sessions had suddenly dropped to 10,000 from 50,000. How can the results be so different, especially when they are both owned by Google? Caleb Whitmore at Analytics Pros tackles that answer in this blog post.
