How to Make Your Subject Line Stand Out
Everyone knows the fundamentals of subject line writing, Clickmail Marketing says in this blog post. Briefly, be useful, be ultra-specific, be unique and be urgent. There are other elements to keep in mind as well, it goes on to say:
- Identify yourself immediately. The subscriber wants to know at a glance who the message is from.
- Send an email from the same source each time via the "From" line, even if there are different senders and the source is identifiable.
- Create a sense of urgency but don’t do it often. Or you will become the email-version of the "boy who cried wolf", Clickmail says.
- Be brief, especially as more emails are read on mobile devices.
