HopStop Launching Hyper-Local, Targeted Ad Offering

Users of the maps site HopStop will soon be able to receive coupons and deal offers based on the location they're searching for on the site, reports ClickZ.
The site will soon begin offering local businesses the chance to be included in the new AdLocal offering. The platform will deliver coupons to users for businesses in the same area as the destination that user is searching for. Advertisers will be able to define what area they want to be included in and what keywords their coupons should be returned for. That can include a competitor's name or business.

Right now HopStop offers free listings on its site to local businesses. Those participating in that program are being offered the new coupon program first.

Tools on the site allow for advertisers to create a coupon if they don't already have one to use. Future improvements to the AdLocal program could include better tracking of coupon usage as well as a mobile-friendly application.
