Watch for bees
Publicis Groupe, Droga5 and Digitas have banded together to launch an online outlet for branded entertainment, reports MediaPost.
Honeyshed is currently in beta after its debut early in the summer, intended to give advertisers and users an idea of what sort of content the site will house.
30 videos are currently on the site, most of which are spoofs of infomercial-type spots, with young adults — the site is geared toward 18- to 30-year-olds — conducting demonstrations of various products.
70 more spots, each a couple of minutes in length, are on deck.
Once advertisers see what the site is all about, they'll sign on to create brand-specific programming, the parent agencies hope.
Clips can be shared via email or embedded on blogs and other sites. Honeyshed will also link to where visitors can buy the products being featured.
