Mr. Dittman leaps out
of bed, fully clothed
Holiday Inn Express's web-based series, The Smart Show, begins its second season today.
Hosted by Henry Dittman, the fully-sponsored show explores business travel with humor and trivia. During the debut episode for season two, Dittman asks strangers what their dream jobs would be, divulges the dream jobs of a handful of celebrities, and promotes a number of virtual personal assistant companies.
The show was prepared with help from Endemol USA — which specializes in reality TV — and The Third Act, Digitas' new brand content platform. New episodes will appear twice weekly on blip.tv from July to October.
Supplements to the show include "Deal of the Week," which offers deals to travelers with 100 Priority Club Rewards Points; an online 2009 Pontiac Vibe giveaway for Priority Club members; planning from TripAdvisor; a blog; and a "Need-er-ator" — a search engine that queries from episodes, the blog and community topics.
The Smart Show will also sponsor Beet.tv, Geek Entertainment TV, Experiment of the Week and Break a Leg, all hosted by blip.tv.
