Online competitive intelligence service Hitwise today announced that it has acquired HitDynamics, a single-interface "technology platform" for search marketing campaigns. Agencies and online marketers use the technology for bid management, reporting and conversion tracking for their PPC, search engine optimization and affiliate marketing campaigns.
HitDynamics will initially operate independently, serving its client base in Europe. Hitwise intends to leverage the technology in conjunction with its online competitive intelligence research to deliver integrated services to some 1,200 global clients.
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
According to Andrew Walsh, CEO of Hitwise, "this significant strategic acquisition…will give our clients access to the first integrated platform that…leverages our unique, daily competitive intelligence data to drive cutting-edge online customer acquisition, retention and optimization strategies."
