Measurement firm Hitwise will begin offering customers trend data on both organic and paid search terms, reports ClickZ.
The new reporting will include information on how people are using search engines and how competitive search engine marketers are buying keywords.
That can allow users of Hitwise's dashboard to make adjustments in their own campaigns to take advantage of emerging trends or counter someone else's campaign.
The data will come from Hitwise's panel of users and some information from ISPs.
The introduction of search data occurred in the UK and Australia earlier this year but is just now unrolling in the US, a delay caused by the much larger amount of data to be processed.
