It doesn't quite bring

Hearst-Argyle Television is launching a new site devoted to coverage of high school sports, reports MediaWeek.
HighSchoolPlayBook.com will bring together cross-platform coverage of high school sports from across the country. Online, mobile and TV content will be available on that site, with original reporting from local teen correspondents who will contribute video and other reports.
The site is heavy with social-networking functions that allow fans to connect with each other and build their own profiles. Hearst is launching it with coverage from seven markets, but plans to roll it out to its other 18 by the end of the year.
