Internet Retailer: Broadband Internet Access Stretches Toward the 50% Mark

That broadband access is growing is no secret. That it has penetrated almost half of households is worth noting. A study shows that while dial-up Internet access has stagnated, broadband has about caught up to it. Another study (Knowledge Networks/SRI's The Home Technology Monitor) released last week shows that 49 percent of households with incomes over $75,000 have broadband access either over cable or DSL, an increase of 25 percent since last spring.
