Hackers Finding Flaws in MySpace, other Social Networks


As glamorous as ever

Hackers are finding new and inventive ways to penetrate social networking profiles and other web applications, reports The Associated Press.

Hackers are showing off their handiwork at two conferences, Black Hat and Defcon, both in Las Vegas. Stars in the industry demonstrate how they can access user profile pages and inject malicious code onto the site. AJAX in particular proved quite penetrable.
One speaker was able to commandeer a Gmail account while conducting a presentation.

Google says it's working on automatic encryption for all Gmail users. MySpace would only comment on its commitment to security.
