Video-sharing site Guba has lost its CEO, and more execs may soon follow in what looks like a replay of the exodus at competitor site Revver.
Guba CEO Thomas McInerney has resigned, telling CNET that two high-level execs will likely soon leave as well. McInerney, who cofounded the video-sharing site, explained that some execs are trying to determine whether they want to remain in a sector that's dominated by YouTube.
"I think we can all acknowledge that YouTube has won the big prize," McInerney said. "Guba is at a crossroads, and we're deciding whether to look for funding or to sell. I think we're inclined to sell."
McInerney says, however, thatĀ Guba execs no longer think a lucrative acquisition deal can be struck, at least not anywhere close to the magnitude of Google's purchase of YouTube.
