Group Fishes for Google-FBI Connection

Silicon.com: Google denies FBI masterminding Gmail

Privacy group EPIC filed a request for documentation of any Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) efforts to plan to use Google's new Gmail service as a surveillance device. Many people derided the filing as a publicity stunt. For its part, Google denied it had any contact with the FBI over the matter. Google also had no role in the Kennedy assassination, yesterday's thunderstorms over Kansas City or the fact that Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow this year.
