Greystripe Adds WAP Site Links, Full-Screen Ads to Mobile Advertising Platform

Mobile advergame distributor Greystripe has added new options to its Mobile Engagement Platform, a suite of offerings for mobile-focused advertisers.

Adding to full-screen ads, new options include:

  • Mobile web and online download site sponsorship
  • Full-screen ad space for sponsored games
  • A branded in-game on device portal which exposes gamers to an ad message at the start of every game
  • A link to the sponsor's WAP (mobile-ready) website
  • Campaign management and reporting metrics
  • Greystripe users are also given a limited number of ad-sponsored games when they download a game. Once they hit the limit, they must go back to the website to receive additional plays — enabling advertisers to run updated messages.

    Of recent note, Greystripe ran mobile ads to promote The Golden Compass. It reportedly raised brand awareness and interest by 19.3 percent and 9.5 percent, respectively, among users 18-24. Intent to see the movie went up by about 14.5 percent.

    18-24-year-olds are the demographic most likely to be influenced by mobile advertising, according to a BIGresearch survey.
