Time Warner announced on Tuesday that Ron Grant has been appointed AOL's chief operating officer and president, Reuters reports.

Time Warner said Grant in his last position as SVP of operations worked with Time Warner President and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Bewkes on strategy, digital initiatives and operational efficiencies, helping to create AOL's advertising-focused strategy, writes the Associated Press.

Grant reports to AOL's new CEO and chairman, Randy Falco, formerly NBC Universal Television's president, himself appointed just last week.
