Grammies Ditch Yahoo, MSN to Host Pre-Grammy Access

Such trumpeting over
such a small item

The Recording Academy and CBS have passed over Yahoo as a potential Grammy partner; meanwhile, MSN will give fans online access to a pre-Grammy party.

CBS Interactive will take over from Yahoo as the online destination for streaming red-carpet coverage and other pre-show entertainment. It will also use Last.fm to provide Grammy-themed content.

The decision suggests CBS has enough faith in its online platform to perform the functions of an established industry player.

MSN will provide online access to those that can't attend the Clive Davis pre-Grammy party. The party happens February 9th, and clips will appear online before the ceremony, as well as the day after the awards show.
