Google tops Yahoo and MSN in U.S. referral rates - the share of search traffic sent to other sites - according to a WebSideStory study, reports DM News. Google's referral percentage was at an all-time high of 52.2 percent in early June, compared with 44.9 percent in June 2004. Yahoo's rate was 25.2 percent, falling from 27.3 percent last June. MSN's share also declined, from 15.8 percent to 10.4. Google is dominant abroad, as well, referring more than 91 percent of all traffic in Germany, 80.8 percent in Australia,, 73.6 percent in the U.K., and 41.9 percent in Japan.
