Google finally cottoned onto ads that contained javascript that were attempting to load spyware programs onto unsuspecting clickers, taking them down on Monday, according to a SearchEngineLowdown reports on a Heise.de story. The ads appeared in German language ads for keywords "Preisvergleich" (price comparison) and "Gebraucht PC" (used PC). If a clicking viewer used Internet Explorer, the JavaScript would make a spyware installation attempt. Heise.de indicated it reported the problem to Google on Friday, but the search giant's Germany office was unable to respond quickly due to holiday schedules.
