Google Opens up 'AdWords Editor' Beta

Google has opened up the beta test of its freestanding, desktop account-management tool for larger accounts - AdWords Editor (via CogBlog). It allows advertisers to download their AdWords account to a computer, make changes offline, then upload the revised campaigns to their AdWords account. The tool requires a system that runs Windows 2000 or XP. Google was reported to have had been quietly testing the tool in private beta some two months ago.

The AdWords Editor's features allow users to navigate through campaigns and Ad Groups, locate and edit keywords and CPC, make bulk changes to keywords and ad text, and copy and paste keywords and ad text from one campaign or Ad Group to another.

An FAQ provides more info.

(Note: Garrett French rightly points out that the AdWords Editor beta has been expanded to new testers, not entirely opened up to all.)
