CNET: Google mulls RSS support
Atom, the syndication format built to improve on and compete with the more ubiquitous RSS standard, may soon suffer a blow to its adoption momentum. In April Google stopped supporting RSS for new users in an effort to boost adoption of Atom. But now, as revealed by an email memo leaked to CNET, Google is contemplating opening up its blog software and news feeds again with the RSS standard, providing support for both and becoming a neutral party to the RSS vs. Atom debate.
