Google will put together a searchable archive of personal videos, allowing people to share their own footage of everything from news events such as tsunami videos, to their home videos of birthdays and weddings, according to the New York Times. The personal video initiative comes as an add-on to Google's existing efforts to create a searchable database of TV content.
