The fact that Google's revenue growth is slowing doesn't come as a surprise to those who knew the "hockey stick" of Google's business model was already so steep, it was pretty much vertical. That's a tough growth rate to maintain. Plus, search engines are publishers of search results, and that means that even though they are "new media," they are still media. The same sponsorship and subscriber models - and their growth limitations - apply.
