Google Goes to Washington

Google has set up shop in Washington, D.C. in what might be its biggest challenge yet - a worldwide search for an honest politician… Actually, it's setting up a lobbying operation and has hired Alan Davidson, former associate director at the Center for Democracy and Technology, paidContent reports, citing a Google Blog entry. "Our mission in Washington boils down to this: Defend the Internet as a free and open platform for information, communication and innovation," according to the blog post.
