Google Analytics Adds AdWords Reports; Issues Faster Invites

Google is clearing out the list of those waiting to use its Google Analytics (the erstwhile Urchin) and has expanded AdWords integration, adding two AdWords-related reports to the free analytics tool - the AdWords Analysis and AdWords Keyword Positions reports, which directly import data into Google Analytics to automatically track AdWords campaigns, Marketing Pilgrim writes.

"The AdWords Analysis report displays the return on investment for every Campaign, Ad Group, and keyword in an AdWords account…. ROI is calculated using AdWords keyword costs and goal or e-commerce values specified by the advertiser within Analytics," Google is quoted as explaining.

According to the Google Analytics blog, the AdWords Keyword Positions report "displays search position correlated with visits and conversions for each of your keywords. Drill down on any keyword to see its display position…useful for advertisers in determining the value of your keywords and bid amounts in relation to your ad's actual position or rank on Google search results pages."

Google also says it has "cleared out the waiting list for invitations. Once you've signed up within a few days you should get an email message with an invitation code."
