Google Again Confronts Click-Fraud Class Action Suit

Google may have to fight yet another click-fraud-related class-action lawsuit, this time one filed in Pennsylvania.

Philadelphia lawyer Samuel Lassoff has filed a suit against Google in a Pennsylvania district court as both plaintiff and lead attorney in the case, reports ComputerWorld. A judge must now certify whether the suit qualifies for class-action status. Lassoff says he was the victim, between October 2005 and February 2006, of $1,000 worth of click fraud having to do with two websites he runs: winatshopping.com and coupons-and-promotions.com.

Lassoff practices law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and says he thinks "anywhere from fifteen to a thousand people who aren't aware or who opted out of previous settlements" could join the suit once a judge certifies it, according to eWeek's Googlewatch blog.
