Someone finally noticed: Online advertising giant Google has actually been seen advertising on TV - well, kind of. MediaPost writes that a 15-second sponsorship spot (via SearchEngineLowdown) was launched at the end of the summer, on PBS, for its NOVA science program. The spot ends with the tagline: "Google is proud to support NOVA in the search for knowledge." Jupiter Research analyst Gary Stein is quoted as saying that Google has in the past run branded advertisements in outlets such as National Public Radio.
