Imagine the shock as millions of searchers found a new look to Google's results page today. Text links replace tabs and the AdWords lose their borders. Interestingly, some publishers in the AdSense network likely gave Google the idea to drop the borders. Some sites serve the AdSense ads with invisible borders, which help the ads flow into the site design. The same is true on the new Google site. With no more tabs, the results are closer to the top of the page, and after all, it's the results we are looking for, not more navigation.
