Google To Begin Selling Radio Ads on Clear Channel Stations

Google and Clear Channel have announced a deal that will have the former delivering ads on all of the broadcasting company's U.S. radio stations, reports The New York Times.

The deal marks a major leap forward for Google, which had needed a major player as a partner to jumpstarts its radio ad business. While no financial details were announced, the deal reportedly spans several years and will include all dayparts on Clear Channel's 675 stations.

Clear Channel will continue to handle existing advertiser relationships, with Google working with new advertisers. Google's ability to bring in smaller advertisers is expected to be a good fit for radio, which thrives on local advertisers.
