Google has been sued over business practices relating to its AdSense for Domains product offering, reports the Technology and Marketing Law Blog.
AdSense for Domains operates by allowing owners of parked domain names to run ads on a blank page that acts as a search query, redirecting the visitor to an AdSense for Domains page in addition to displaying ads.
The lawsuit alleges that Google itself is the holder of the domain since only its content appears on those pages.
The suit also names four of the top "domainer" firms that specialize in parking domains for such use.
