Google Acquires Aerial Photographer ImageAmerica

Google's alleged plans to photograph every inch of Earth may actually be steeped in fact. The search engine juggernaut has just bought ImageAmerica, a company that builds high-resolution cameras for aerial imagery, according to TechCrunch.

ImageAmerica has already provided images for Google Maps and Earth. It's helped out on special projects as well, such as photographing a post-Katrina New Orleans.
