Glam Blog Network Launched

Recently launched media and e-commerce player Glam Media is expected to today unveil a fashion blog network that combines Glam.com and blog inventory and has so far signed up seven blogs - BagCrazy.blogspot.com, Coquette.blogs.com, SheFinds.com/blog, PopGadget.net, InMyBag.blogspot.com, FashionTribes.typepad.com and TiaWilliams.net/blog - reports ClickZ. Bloggers receive a share of the CPM-based revenue that Glam receives from advertisers; the initial ad format will be a 160 x 600 skyscraper.

The company is also cross-promoting with the blogs, using RSS to receive feeds from the blogs and incorporating them into its site to both promote the blogs and build up content on its site. In turn, it will provide bloggers with modules containing headlines and links back to Glam.com. It is also launching two blogs of its own.

Glam isn't providing monthly pageview info for the network. In the first week after its launch, Glam.com had 100,000 unique visitors who generated more than a million pageviews.
