Glam Media Buys Street Fashion Social Network

Stylemob: Property of Glam

Glam Media has purchased Stylemob, a street fashion community site, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition was quietly made early this year. Stylemob Co-Founder Adam Souzis was appointed executive director of Glam Labs.

Glam is an ad network geared to women. It competes with the likes of SheKnows and iVillage — now owned by NBCU — to corner the market with aggressive acquisitions and strategic relationships. In the last four months, rival SheKnows acquired RealityTVMagazine, LovingYou and Soaps.

Glam recently became the exclusive ad seller for Premiere.com, following the launch of its own entertainment channel and a strategic relationship with Lifetime Networks. Last month, Glam received $84.6 million in funding for more acquisitions.
