Gawker Rides Gorilla Nation into Canada

All aboard

Gawker Media selected Gorilla Nation to sell its online ad inventory in Canada. The deal is exclusive.

Gawker operates almost a dozen popular entertainment sites, including Defamer, Jezebel, Lifehacker and Valleywag. They serve about 25 million unique visitors per month. Surveyed readers are "young, educated, affluent and cosmopolitan," said Gawker.

International Business Development Director Jason Holland, Director of Gorilla Nation said it would enable Canadian advertisers to "target multiple consumer bases with display ads and 'beyond the banner' creative integrations."

In February, Lucasfilm tapped Gorilla Nation to sell ads on a number of its Star Wars sites. Gorilla Nation won Mattel's display ad sales account three months later.
