When users start up their new Gateway and eMachines computers, they'll see a Gateway-branded version of Google's Personalized Homepage under a deal announced between the two companies, according to Steve Rubel at MicroPersuasion.
As Rubel says, Gateway is the second computer maker to make such a deal with Google, which inked a similar deal with Dell. Yahoo and Acer also have a similar deal in place.
Such pages' being displayed automatically could help mainstream adoption of RSS feeds, since those are what power many of the Personalized Homepage's features, Rubel notes.
