A Shopzilla.com survey of online buyers reveals that 40 percent have increased their online buying as a result of high gasoline prices, with 15 percent saying they are shopping online much more and 25 percent saying somewhat more, Internet Retailer reports. The remaining 60 percent say they have not changed their shopping habits. The nationwide average price of a gallon of gasoline reached $3.01 last week, a record, both in absolute terms and adjusted for inflation, reports the Lundberg Survey. The average price has gone up $1.15 in the past year.
