Gannett Broadcasting will be offering customized video to other media for on-air, online and wireless distribution, seeking to fill new distribution channels' need for video content - particularly news and information.
Gannett's new content will include 30-60-minute shows for broadcast and cable, as well as 1-3-minute segments for online, on-demand and wireless technologies, writes MediaWeek (via MediaBuyerPlanner). The unit will aggregate and repurpose news and other material from Gannett's 23 television stations.
the new business, Gannett Video Enterprises, will also be able to offer high-definition programming, Gannett said.
