Build traffic or die!
Will Ferrell and Adam McKay are expanding their online video ventures from comedy to skateboarding, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
The pair, which co-founded video sharing site FunnyOrDie earlier this year, has launched ShredOrDie, devoted to showing off videos of skaters and their moves.
Like its predecessor, ShredOrDie features a mix of professional and amateur videos that get voted up or down by the community.
Celebrity skateboarder Tony Hawk has already shot a series of videos slated to appear on the site.
ShredOrDie is just the first brand extension Ferrell and McKay have in mind. The two sites are now part of the Or Die network and the pair plan a series of sites devoted to other verticals.
FunnyOrDie has come under some scrutiny for falling traffic numbers — a mutable measure at best — but increasing reach in other communities could be the first move toward counter that slide.
