It turns out that former Yahoo CEO Timothy Koogle isn't a Nazi sympathizer after all, as a French court cleared him of the silly allegations made as part of an effort to force Yahoo to take down Nazi-related memorabilia from its auction site. French courts did find against Yahoo, forcing it to staff a group dedicated to taking down Nazi-related items as they pop up on the site. That case then moved to the U.S., where Yahoo has been seeking federal court protections against French judicial enforcement.

The full panel of appeals court judges will soon take a new look at that most recent judgment, in a widely watched case that has implications for how international jurisdictions mesh, especially as it relates to the almost boundless internet.
