Fox Enters Exclusive Deal with Palestra College Network

Palestra gets scoop on

It's been a good month for Fox News' Joel Cheatwood.

The TV exec was promoted to Senior VP at Fox News Channel shortly after brokering an exclusive deal between Fox News and The Palestra College Network, a news site run by college journalists, according to Broadcasting & Cable.

The Gen Y-operated news site is already hard at work for Fox. A Palestra student correspondent from Pepperdine University will deliver a report on "Fox Report with Shepard Smith" next Tuesday about the raging fires in Southern California.

Before Fox, Cheatwood worked for CNN, where he played a large role in launching Showbiz Tonight, as well as Glen Beck and Nancy Grace's sets on CNN Headline News.
