Fox Buys Spanish, Portuguese Online Ad Firms

Fox International has purchased two online ad networks to flesh out its overseas offerings, reports Variety.

Spanish-language ClickDiario and Portuguese-speaking Directa Networks were both bought up by FIC and will both help form a new online ad division. FIC made the purchases to work around regulations that prohibit it from advertising on the websites of cable or satellite competitors.

FIC's president and COO Hernan Lopez says the acquisitions position Fox well to take advantage of growing online spending in Latin America across segments
