Forrester Research's third-quarter review of the web design industry has named Critical Mass the industry's leading agency, reports AdWeek. Forrester examined 12 Web site design firms, ranking them on sites they have designed and their strategy and market presence. Critical Mass, Omnicom Group's Organic and Interpublic Group's R/GA were judged in the top tier; R/GA was singled out for strong brand-image work and style, Organic for improving its offering.
The second group, identified as "strong performers," included Fry, Aegis Group's Molecular, aQuantive's Avenue A/Razorfish, WhittmanHart, VML, Digitas and IMC2. IPG's FCBi was tagged as a "contender."
