Ford's Viral Firm Found Behind Too-Hot VW Spot

poloexplode.jpg

Likened to the Ford SportKa controversy, where Ford executives appear to have created (then disavowed) viral ads that included cruelty and violence, a new Volkswagen viral ad seems to be going through a similar process. The ad, in which a suicide bomber makes a failed attempt to blow up an outdoor café due to the Volkswagen Polo's sound construction, has been disavowed by Volkswagen and agency of record DDB. Taking credit for the production, as reported by Revolution, is a small British boutique called Lee and Dan, which counts among its client roster Ford StreetKa.
