Forbes.com is expanding its coverage of business-oriented news from Washington, D.C., with the launch of a new section, Business In The Beltway (www.forbes.com/beltway) and will also carry feeds from RealClearPolitics.com, featuring political news, commentary and analysis from "the nation's thought leaders," it said. "The convergence of business and politics is a subject area we felt was being underserved in the mass media, and is a natural fit for Forbes.com's expertise and insight," said Paul Maidment, editor of Forbes.com.
Business In The Beltway will address issues, news and subjects at the intersection of business and politics, such as companies that benefit or suffer from legislative or regulatory activity and private equity and venture investing activity.
The news article headline feeds from RealClearPolitics.com are located in the new Business in the Beltway section and in the Opinions channel. RealClearPolitics.com selects political columns and blogs of the day and offers its own analysis and commentary. John McIntyre, managing editor of the site, will host a monthly show on the Forbes.com Video Network, interviewing prominent political commentators.
That network features 60 hours of original business programming per week, with several recurring programs: Street Talk with Bob Lenzner; MoneyMasters with Vahan Janjigian; SportsMoney with Mike Ozanian; The Adverturer with Jim Clash; and CEO Spotlight.
