Few Searchers Monogamous to Search Engine

Nielsen/NetRatings reports that most searchers use more than one search engine, according to eMarketer. Of Google's reported 71 million unique searchers in January, 41 million (58 percent) also dabbled with other engines. Yahoo saw 71 percent of its own users shared with other engines, and MSN saw 70 percent of its user base flirting with other sites. Search share seems to follow perceived user experiences according to data reported by Keynote Systems. Google's experience (47 percent marketshare) sat atop that of Yahoo (21 percent) and MSN (13 percent).
