FCC Chair a Blogger

Reuters: FCC chief blogs to tech industry

Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Michael Powell started up his own blog to allow techies and others to give input and get around the information moat of lobbyists and telecom firms that otherwise pen in the FCC. "Regulated interests have about an 80-year head start on the entrepreneurial tech community when it comes to informing regulators what they want and need," Powell wrote, adding that he hoped the blog would allow for "transparent and meritocracy-based communication - attributes that bloggers are famous for!"
