Experian Snags Database Services Company

Experian has acquired database marketing services and customer management company ClarityBlue, reports BtoB Online (via MediaBuyerPlanner). The combination of ClarityBlue's data management technology and consultative service model with Experian's client base and data solutions will improve the data-driven services Experian provides to clients, the company said, also referring to services in emerging media such as SMS and video.

Experian acquired the U.K.- and Boston- based company for $150 million, plus up to $27 million more over three years. In December, Experian acquired comparison-shopping site PriceGrabber.
